PAT - Portable Appliance Testing

Portable appliance testing (PAT) is the term used to describe the examination of electrical appliances and equipment to ensure they are safe to use. Most electrical safety defects can be found by a visual check but some types of defects can only be found by proper PAT testing. However, it is essential that visual examinations are a part of the process because some types of electrical safety defects can’t be detected by testing alone.

At each event Kent Discos will check our electricals as they are loaded/unloaded and installed. However, more formal visual inspections and testing is carried out by competent and qualified testers at appropriate intervals.

PLI - Public Liability Insurance

PLI (Public Liability Insurance) covers Kent Discos if a customer or member of the public was to suffer a loss or injury as a result of our business activities.
Our PLI cover also includes ELI (Employers Liability insurance) and Products liability insurance for total safety of both you, the customer and us, the Kent Discos team.

Whilst PLI isn’t compulsory in the UK, Kent Discos will always remain covered by a PLI policy to ensure maximum safety and protection.

Kent Discos enforce a set of terms and conditions to protect both you, the customer and us.
The terms and conditions ensure that both of us are fully protected in case of any unforeseen event.

When booking and paying your deposit you are agreeing to our terms and conditions as indicated, the terms and conditions are available here for you to browse at any point. Any additional terms and conditions outside of those stated will be applied to your single event and will be communicated via e-mail.
